As an insurance adjuster, you take dozens, if not hundreds, of photos as part of the claims and documentation process. It doesn’t take long for these photos to become difficult to manage. For example, it’s certainly easy enough to send a photo or two to a client or insurance company via email, but what about hundreds of them? With that in mind, PicPal was conceived. Developed by a public insurance adjuster, this software makes it easy to manage your photos. PicPal allows you to:
- Quickly reduce the file size for ALL photos held within a single folder without affecting the original photos. Choose from image sizes of either 640 x 480, 800 x 600, or 1024 x 768. Once the photos have been reduced, they are stored in a subfolder within the original folder. Your original photos remain untouched.
- Automatically create a zipped file containing these resized photos. Compressing the photos further reduces the attachment’s overall file size. Many Internet Service Providers restrict the size of incoming and outgoing email attachments. By creating a ZIP file with PicPal, automatically, you are reducing the folder’s size to a more ISP-friendly size. Make sure that your photos reach your intended recipient by using the “Create ZIP” feature of PicPal.
- Automatically create a PDF “contact sheet” containing the specified folder’s photographs. PicPal allows you to assign how many photos to place per page (one, two, or three photos per page). The Create PDF feature has an option where you can label each photo with its file name. This allows for greater communication between you and the PDF’s recipient. For example, if you are discussing the case on the phone, you can refer to each photo by its name such as, “Take a look at the picture labeled ‘Joe Jones 35.’”
- Automatically rename each file in the specified photo with a file name of your choosing. For example, if your client’s name is Joe Jones, each file in the specified folder can be renamed “Joe Jones 1,” “Joe Jones 2,” “Joe Jones 3,” and so on.
- Automatically remove hidden data known as “exif data” from the pictures. This hidden data contains information about the photograph such as the date the photo was taken, its resolution, F-stop information, Camera type, and so forth. This information takes up space and can be removed automatically from the new set of PicPal-processed photos. This does not affect your original photos which remain untouched.
